National Fish and Chip Awards

Rewarding Success in Our Industry!

The National Fish & Chip Awards 2018 are in their 30th year. This prestigious competition organised by Seafish continues to celebrate the great British tradition that is fish and chips, and reward outstanding businesses across a variety of award categories.
 
Isle of Ely Produce have always been a great supporter of the awards and the nation's fish and chips shops in general but from 2013 we took this support even further and became a sponsor.
 
We support a gong for the fish and chip shop which takes the best care and attention with the product which represents 50% of their business the potato.
 
The 'From Field to Frier Award' in association with Isle of Ely Potatoes is given to the shop (business) which demonstrated a passion and knowledge for the potatoes they serve.
It encompassess the whole process including variety, storage, process, frying and marketing.
 
John Boutwood MD of Isle of Ely Produce says 'Having attended many of these awards over the years I thought that there was something missing - an accreditation from the potato side of the business'. "Seafish do such a great job of promoting our business that to get involved in sponsoring an award was an easy decision to make' he added.
 
Isle of Ely Produce will use the award sponsorship to introduce some exciting new platforms over the coming months. Oliver Boutwood director of IOE said ' We support the people right across our industry from growers to friers and we want to encourage best practice too' The National Fish and Chip awards will give us a great opportunity to do just that'
